1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Visant.AI hardware, software, or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
2. Service Description
Visant.AI provides AI-powered visual monitoring services including:
- Hardware: Visant Camera (pre-configured embedded Linux device), Alarm Tower (LED stack light with audible buzzer), or use your own device via Web Camera (BYOD).
- Software: AI License subscription enabling dual-agent AI classification (OpenAI GPT+ Google Gemini), real-time email alerts, and 7-day cloud storage.
- Dashboard: Web-based interface for camera management, alert configuration, and capture history.
We may modify features or discontinue components with prior notice when possible.
3. Accounts & Security
- Provide accurate registration information and update it when changes occur.
- You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately at visant@contoro.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. Hardware & Subscription
- Hardware Pricing: Visant Camera ($100), Alarm Tower ($120). Hardware is sold separately from AI licenses.
- AI License: $29.50 per device per month. Licenses are purchased as a pool and can be assigned/reassigned between devices.
- Free Trial: 7-day free trial available for new users. No credit card required.
- Hardware remains under limited warranty for defects in materials and workmanship for one year.
- Subscription plans renew automatically until cancelled via the Stripe billing portal.
- Usage is subject to fair-use limits designed to protect platform stability.
5. Refund Policy
- Hardware: You may return unused, unopened hardware within thirty (30) days of delivery for a full refund, minus shipping costs. Hardware must be in original packaging and condition.
- Subscription: Subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing period begins. You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges, but no prorated refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
- Requesting Refunds: Contact visant@contoro.com within the eligible refund period with your order number and reason for return.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by violating laws, breaching privacy rights, reverse engineering, uploading malicious code, or interfering with other customers' experience.
7. Data Ownership & Privacy
You retain ownership of your video data and prompts. We process that data to deliver detections as described in our Privacy Policy. You grant Visant.AI a limited license to host and analyze content solely to operate the service.
8. Disclaimers
Visant.AI is provided "as-is." To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid to Visant.AI during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware.
